The school was built to commemorate 100 years of the Montfort Brothers in India. Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel first grew and spread in France, then throughout the world. They came to India in 1903 and are engaged in spreading the message of Jesus in the footsteps of St. Montfort mainly through the field of education and Vocational Training. The Brothers of St. Gabriel are a part of a world wide Montfortian family founded by St. Louis Marie De Montfort in France in the early 18th century, which became an autonomous society in 1842. They have been pioneers in the fields of General Education, Vocational Training and the Education of the physically challenged. The organization is now present in 31 countries of the world and has 159 Institutions in India.
The campus of 16.5 acres is located 650 Kms to the South East of Hyderabad and 150 Kms from Bengaluru (the IT Capital of India) on a 16.5 acres site, originally 25 acres. Kuppam is famous for its worldwide export of granite paving stones of exotic variety. Designed and built 52,570 sq.ft., of Primary educational facilities with a sustainable concept utilizing local granite and materials, the campus has residential quarters for the Brothers of St. Gabriel nestled in the scenic hills of Kuppam.
